And then, do you get the big hunting socks, or the tube socks that reeeeally stretch? And Mom always put a tangerine, or orange, in the toe because "that's what Mummy used to do." I sometimes wonder if my kids are missing out, because they don't use socks. I've handmade all our stockings, but should have planned better because the orange doesn't fill the toe. :)<br />Mom always says "If you don't believe in Santa, he won't come." I'm nearly 35, and still believe in the magic of Santa. It nearly broke my heart when Kaili told me this year that she knew there wasn't a Santa, but then it healed. She said, "Don't worry Mom, I won't tell the kids."<br />I don't remember my first encounter with Santa, but I do remember parts of one Christmas at Grammie & Grampie's. I got a large tin(?) doll house. Everything inside was painted on. I can see it now, sitting on one of Grammie's braided rugs, in the living room, down by the woodbox.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16937460087972094903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8054225496921311123.post-38364160031601119972010-12-08T21:57:00.745-05:002010-12-08T21:57:00.745-05:00That was very enjoyable to read.
